Earyn McGee in Science: "Without inclusion, diversity initiatives may not be enough"

SNRE graduate student Earyn McGee is the co-author of a recent article published in Science, which examines how current diversity initiatives aimed at recruiting under-represented minorities (URM) to STEM programs would be more effective if they focused beyond recruiting diverse students. The authors argue that these programs must strive to be more welcoming, inclusive, and acknowledge the challenges that URM students face, in order to truly help these students become successful members of their fields.
