Understanding how people make decisions about the use and allocation of natural resources is at the heart of our research. Our faculty seek to identify the collaborative and coordinated activities that are most likely to achieve lasting resolutions to natural resource issues, particularly in the face of competing interests among landowners, stakeholders, and government agents. Our faculty’s aim is to help these parties craft legislation, policies, or negotiation practices that produce outcomes that are effective, efficient, and equitable and that contribute to the future of both humans and natural resources.
